Agreement
This website is operated by Northern Search & Recovery Dogs Society ("NSRDS", "we", "us"), a volunteer non-profit society inNorthern British Columbia. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
This site is not an emergency service
If a person is missing right now, or there is any immediate risk to life, call 911.NSRDS is a specialist canine resource that works alongside an active investigation. We do not monitor this website or our inbox around the clock, we cannot self-deploy, and submitting a form here does not initiate a search. Nothing on this site should be relied on in an emergency.
No guarantee of response or deployment
Contacting us does not create any obligation on our part and does not guarantee that a search will take place. We are volunteers with finite capacity. Whether we can assist depends on the circumstances, the terrain, the jurisdiction, our availability, and whether canine detection is a suitable tool at all. We will tell you honestly when it is not.
Where a search does proceed, it happens at the request of and in coordination with the agency holding jurisdiction. A canine search is an investigative aid. It cannot promise a find, and no outcome is guaranteed.
